First Dotting Attempt w/ Essie Mojito Madness

Okay, so apparently I'm just a big liar.  I completely forgot to upload these pics and a post yesterday even though I promised that I would! I strive to keep my promises, and therefore for the next two days I will send anyone who comments a cookie to say sorry! If you're reading this after July 7, 2012 know that while I am still super sorry, you will not be getting a cookie.

Moving right along, here are the pictures from a few weeks ago of my first attempt at dotting as I finally got my dotting tools (woo!).

For the green I used Essie Mojito Madness, and the coloured dots are all different colours of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, which I freaking love for dotting.  I'm really going to have to try and remember what the base colours look like before I do anything to them.  As always, I started out with the OPI Natural Nails Base Coat, and topped it off with Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat.

I had been going to do two columns of dots, one of bigger dots and one of smaller dots side by side, but then I decided to just to a zig-zag line, but it didn't turn out looking that way.  I didn't mind the dots, but I think I tried too many colours or I was just having a hard time getting used to the green on my nails or something because I didn't love it. It was good experience with the dotting tools, and I loved the different colour dots but I think that next time I will do it on a white background, or even on a darker neutral background.
