Bus Ponderings

A couple stands by the bus doors, the woman frowning.  Her boyfriend caresses her face, trying to get her to smile; she gives in easily.  By the time they get off two stops later she is laughing freely and they are holding hands.  I wonder if this is love, or if she just realized the thing she was frowning over was insignificant in the grand scheme.  The lyrics come over my headphones, "You want me, a worse disaster would be waking up alone," and I wonder at the truth of this statement. Would it be such a bad thing to wake-up beside someone if they are able to make you smile when you're feeling low?
